Telefónica reports a Q1 net loss due to restructuring costs but maintains full-year guidance amid steady revenue growth.
Telefónica reported first-quarter revenue of €8.13 billion, nearly flat year-over-year, as organic growth offset the impact of ongoing asset sales and portfolio restructuring. The company posted a net loss for the period, driven by one-time costs tied to divestments.
Consumer (B2C) revenue rose 1.5% year-over-year at constant exchange rates to €4.81 billion, while business (B2B) revenue climbed 5.7% to €1.93 billion. Wholesale revenue declined, reflecting the company’s strategic shifts. Despite the loss, Telefónica reaffirmed its full-year outlook, citing stable underlying performance.
