Bitcoin-linked preferred equity STRC falls to $82.53, its lowest price since launching last July, amid broader market volatility.
Stretch’s preferred stock STRC declined to $82.53 on Tuesday, marking its lowest level since its July 2023 debut. The drop contrasts with earlier trading sessions where the stock held at or above its $100 par value, enabling the firm to raise billions through share offerings.
Investors, including retail buyers like newly retired slot-machine technician Emery Redenius, had piled into STRC for its 11.5% annual dividend and tax-deferred distributions. Redenius, who holds over $400,000 in STRC and similar products, cited the yield as a key attraction for his income portfolio.
The decline reflects heightened volatility in Bitcoin-linked equities, though some holders remain committed to long-term exposure despite short-term fluctuations.
