Partners Group raises 2027 S&P 500 forecast after Q2 profit growth exceeds expectations and geopolitical risks ease.

Anastasia Amoroso, chief investment strategist at Partners Group, raised her S&P 500 target to 8,500 for 2027, citing a 25% Q2 profit growth that surpassed the 15% forecast. The index closed at 751.28 on July 7, 2026, with the new target reflecting a shift in tail risk assumptions.

The revision follows the signing of an Iran memorandum of understanding, which removed geopolitical overhangs that had previously weighed on growth projections. Amoroso’s team had modeled 30 to 50 basis points of GDP drag and 50 to 100 basis points of inflation upside as potential risks. With those scenarios now shelved, consumer spending and corporate margins are expected to drive the next leg of growth.

BlackRock had earlier reduced U.S. equity exposure, warning of potential AI capex overinvestment risks. However, Amoroso’s bull case remains intact, supported by strong earnings momentum and reduced macroeconomic uncertainties.
