StarkWare has unveiled a quantum-resistant roadmap for Starknet, aiming to secure its blockchain against future quantum computing attacks. The company argues that existing cryptographic solutions can protect crypto assets if implemented promptly, dismissing delays as avoidable negligence.

The roadmap consists of three phases, leveraging Starknet’s zero-knowledge STARK proofs, which are inherently post-quantum safe. Researchers warn that quantum machines capable of breaking blockchain encryption could emerge before 2030, prompting some networks to act while others, like Bitcoin, remain divided on solutions.

StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson stated that Starknet’s architecture provides a natural advantage for quantum resistance, urging the industry to adopt similar measures rather than wait for regulatory intervention.
