SpaceX’s market capitalization closed at $2.66 trillion Tuesday, overtaking Amazon’s valuation after a 50% surge since its Nasdaq debut. The stock, priced at $135 per share in its IPO, opened at $150 and climbed 19% on its first trading day before gaining another 6% Monday.

The $75 billion IPO set a new record, eclipsing Saudi Aramco’s 2019 offering. Despite $18.7 billion in 2025 revenue and $4.9 billion in net losses, investor enthusiasm persists, with Elon Musk projecting $1 trillion in revenue by 2030. Musk retains 82.4% voting control under a 366-day lockup.

The rally reflects speculative trading on future potential, though skeptics warn of elevated valuations amid ongoing losses. The stock briefly neared Microsoft’s $2.93 trillion market cap during the session.
