Impulse Space, a company developing spacecraft for satellite repositioning and in-orbit payload delivery, raised $500 million in a Series D round. The funding values the startup at $4.26 billion, bringing its total capital to over $1 billion.

The round was co-led by venture firms 137 Ventures and Banner VC. Impulse Space, founded by SpaceX’s first employee Tom Mueller, has now completed three missions and secured hundreds of future contracts. The company focuses on orbital transfer vehicles and propulsion systems.

Investor demand for space infrastructure companies is rising as satellite deployments grow and launch costs decline. Impulse Space targets the next phase of the commercial space economy, emphasizing mobility beyond low Earth orbit.
