The insurer’s combined ratio improved 990 basis points to 57.5% as catastrophe losses declined and premiums rose 16.7%.

Slide Insurance reported second-quarter net income of $134.9 million, a 92.4% increase from $70.1 million a year earlier. Gross written premiums climbed 16.7% to $508 million, driven by new business and policy renewals, while the combined ratio improved 990 basis points to 57.5%.

The company’s total revenue rose 47.9% to $386.8 million, with net premiums earned also up 47.9% to $360.6 million. Diluted earnings per share reached $1.06 for the quarter. Slide expanded its 2026 catastrophe reinsurance capacity by over $2 billion and secured approvals for operations in Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Slide reaffirmed its 2026 guidance, targeting $1.85 billion–$1.95 billion in gross written premiums and $455 million–$470 million in net income. The company also initiated a $0.07 per share quarterly dividend and repurchased 3 million shares.
