XAG/USD rises for the first time in three sessions, trimming year-to-date losses amid a softer dollar and lower gold-silver ratio.

Silver prices climbed 2.87% to $61.52 per troy ounce on Wednesday, recovering from Tuesday’s close of $59.81. The move narrowed the year-to-date decline to 13.45% as the gold-silver ratio fell to 67.64 from 68.18 a day earlier.

The metal had underperformed gold in recent weeks, pressured by a stronger dollar and higher interest rates. Analysts noted that silver’s safe-haven appeal, though weaker than gold’s, may attract investors amid geopolitical tensions and recession fears.

Trading volumes remained modest, with no immediate signs of a broader rally. Market participants are watching U.S. dollar trends and Federal Reserve policy signals for further direction.
