XAG/USD rises for the first time in three sessions, trimming year-to-date losses amid a softer dollar and lower gold-silver ratio.

Silver prices climbed 1.36% to $57.92 per troy ounce on Wednesday, recovering from Tuesday’s close of $57.14. The move trims an 18.52% decline since the start of the year, as the metal benefits from a weaker US dollar and reduced safe-haven demand for gold.

The gold-silver ratio fell to 69.73 from 70.50 a day earlier, signaling relative strength in silver. Analysts cite lower interest rate expectations and geopolitical uncertainty as key drivers, though silver remains less responsive than gold to macroeconomic shifts.

Traders continue to monitor dollar strength and industrial demand, which influence silver’s dual role as a precious and industrial metal.
