The bottler will enhance logistics efficiency and capacity with a 43,000-pallet automated facility at its Catania plant.
Sibeg Coca-Cola is investing €51m ($58.3m) to construct an automated warehouse at its Catania site, aiming to boost operational efficiency and support volume growth. The facility will store up to 43,000 pallets and connect to existing production lines via an elevated tunnel.
The project follows the 2023 addition of an eighth production line and targets completion by July 2025, with operations set to begin in November. The Catania plant, established in 1960, produces brands including Coca-Cola and Monster Energy drinks.
Automation will streamline raw material flow to production lines and finished goods to storage and loading ports, the company said. The move aligns with broader industry trends toward smart, sustainable infrastructure.
