Shopify Inc. reported second-quarter revenue of $3.58 billion, a 34% increase from a year earlier and above the $3.45 billion consensus estimate. Adjusted earnings per share reached $0.42, surpassing expectations of $0.40.
Gross merchandise volume (GMV) climbed to $115.57 billion from $87.84 billion, while gross profit grew 31% to $1.71 billion. Operating income rose to $488 million, up from $291 million in the prior-year period, and free cash flow increased to $654 million.
The company expects third-quarter revenue growth in the low-thirties percentage range. Management highlighted strong performance across merchant sizes and geographies, with AI-driven expansion contributing to results.
