Securitize and Cantor Fitzgerald are building infrastructure to enable tokenized initial public offerings and secondary equity sales under current US securities rules. The partnership aims to expand blockchain-based capital raising for listed companies while complying with existing regulations.

The framework will support both IPOs and follow-on offerings, with Securitize providing tokenization technology and its SEC-registered broker-dealer handling issuance and settlement. Cantor will contribute equity capital markets and trading capabilities. Tokenized securities have primarily focused on private credit and Treasurys but are now expanding into public equities.

The move reflects growing interest in integrating blockchain technology into traditional finance, though adoption in public markets remains limited compared to private assets.
