A consortium including Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners completed its $55 billion acquisition of Electronic Arts. Shareholders received $210 in cash per share, and EA’s stock has been delisted from Nasdaq.
The deal was first announced on September 29, 2025, and approved by EA stockholders on December 22, 2025. PIF had been a minority investor in EA for over five years, while Silver Lake and Affinity Partners plan to invest in AI-driven growth for the gaming company.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated the company will accelerate innovation under new ownership, focusing on next-generation games and experiences.
