U.K.-based Satsuma will sell 668 BTC and return £26.8-£30 million to investors after a near-unanimous shareholder vote.
Satsuma Technology shareholders approved the sale of 668 BTC, valued at approximately $43.5 million, and the company’s wind-down. Over 90% of votes supported the move, which includes canceling its London Stock Exchange listing and returning capital to investors after costs.
The company raised £163.6 million in August 2025 through convertible notes led by ParaFi Capital and other crypto-focused investors. It now expects to return only £26.8 to £30 million, marking the end of its Bitcoin treasury experiment within a year.
Satsuma, originally an AI firm, rebranded in 2025 to focus on holding Bitcoin as a corporate treasury asset. The decision follows a broader trend of digital asset treasury (DAT) companies scaling back or shutting down operations.
