The less-than-truckload carrier adds two new facilities, extending its reach to 216 terminals nationwide as part of a $2 billion network investment.
Saia has launched new terminals in Edinburgh, Indiana, and Marysville, Washington, increasing its total terminal count to 216. The expansions are part of a $2 billion investment over recent years to strengthen its national footprint and improve service density for shippers.
The Indiana facility, located south of Indianapolis, enhances Saia’s Midwest operations, while the Washington terminal supports Pacific Northwest coverage. Last month, the company opened a 74-door terminal in York, Pennsylvania, further connecting Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets. Saia previously acquired 30 terminals valued at $250 million from bankrupt Yellow Corp.
The additions aim to optimize routing efficiency and improve service consistency, according to company executives. Saia’s stock trades on NASDAQ under the ticker SAIA.
