Russia’s seaborne crude exports declined to their lowest level since May, averaging 3.25 million barrels per day in the week ending August 9. The drop followed a recovery in domestic refinery runs and disruptions at key ports, pulling barrels away from exports.
Prior to the decline, shipments had averaged 3.5 million barrels per day the previous week and 3.71 million over the four-week period. The reduction contrasts with a recent rise in Russian crude and condensate production, which increased by roughly 100,000 barrels per day.
The data reflects shifting supply dynamics as domestic processing ramps up and logistical challenges persist.
