Moscow added to cryptocurrency mining ban list
Russia has expanded its cryptocurrency mining restrictions to include Moscow, citing power supply concerns.
The ban, set to take effect on August 15, 2026, will remain in place through December 31, 2032.
Earlier restrictions were introduced in several Russian regions, including parts of Buryatia and the Zabaykalsky Krai, where a mining ban is set to run from April 1, 2026, through March 15, 2031.
