Agreement with Badimia Barna provides mining tenure consent and royalties, advancing WA gold project toward 2027 production.
Rox Resources has finalized a binding native title agreement with the Badimia Barna Native Title Claim Applicant, enabling operations at the Youanmi Gold Mine in Western Australia. The deal grants consent for current and future mining tenure, including renewals and new applications within the project area, alongside an upfront payment and production-based royalties.
The agreement establishes a framework for heritage protection, environmental cooperation, and employment opportunities for Badimia people. A liaison committee will oversee ongoing engagement between Rox and Badimia representatives. The company targets mid-2027 for potential gold production, marking a key milestone for the project.
Rox Resources CEO Phill Wilding called the signing an important step for Youanmi, reflecting positive relations with the native title group. The deal covers tenements held by Rox and its subsidiary Rox (Murchison).
