The aerospace firm secured its largest contract to date, boosting premarket shares nearly 5% Monday.

Rocket Lab (RKLB) shares climbed nearly 5% in premarket trading after winning a $266M multi-launch contract from the U.S. Space Force. The deal marks the company’s largest launch award to date, awarded under the Space Systems Command’s Rocket Systems program.

The contract follows a series of smaller government and commercial launches for Rocket Lab, which has positioned itself as a competitor in the small-to-medium payload market. Prior awards typically ranged below $100M, underscoring the scale of this agreement.

Premarket trading saw RKLB rise as investors reacted to the expanded government backing and revenue visibility.
