Ripple received a preliminary Crypto Asset Service Provider license from Luxembourg’s CSSF under the EU’s MiCA regulation, covering all 30 European Economic Area countries. The approval, announced June 23, 2026, arrives eight days before the July 1, 2026, compliance deadline for unlicensed firms.

The CASP license complements Ripple’s existing Electronic Money Institution license, allowing European banks and fintechs to access its full payment stack. Ripple’s stablecoin, RLUSD, surpassed $300M in circulation in Q1 2026, supported by the dual regulatory framework.

XRP traded at $1.10 with a $1.56Bn daily volume amid broader market declines, down 2.9% overnight.
