Ripple has taken an equity stake in Flutterwave, joining the African fintech’s Series E round at a $3.3 billion valuation. The investment strengthens Ripple’s foothold in cross-border payments across Africa, a key growth market for stablecoin adoption.

Flutterwave, one of Africa’s most valuable private fintech firms, has processed over one billion transactions worth more than $50 billion since its launch. The deal follows reports valuing the company between $3.2 billion and $3.3 billion, though Ripple’s investment amount and stake size remain undisclosed.

The partnership will integrate Ripple’s $RLUSD stablecoin, Ripple Payments, and the XRP Ledger into Flutterwave’s infrastructure. Flutterwave confirmed stablecoin tools are already live with select merchants and in testing for its Send App.
