Burger King’s U.S. same-store sales surged 8.5%, driving Restaurant Brands’ adjusted EPS to $1.07, above the $1.03 estimate.
Restaurant Brands International reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $1.07, exceeding analysts’ expectations of $1.03. Net income rose to $507 million, or $1.45 per share, up from $189 million a year earlier.
Revenue reached $2.52 billion, matching estimates, as Burger King’s U.S. same-store sales climbed 8.5%. The chain’s turnaround, driven by renovations, marketing, and menu focus, outpaced McDonald’s 0.8% growth in the same period.
The company attributed the performance to operational improvements, with executives highlighting execution across all brands. Burger King’s international business also contributed to the gains.
