Radar Chat, launched July 7, 2026, combines end-to-end encrypted messaging with Bitcoin payments using the Lightning Network. The app allows users to send Bitcoin directly within private conversations without switching apps or copying wallet addresses.
Developed by the team behind Cake Wallet but operating as a separate entity, Radar Chat uses Signal’s open-source protocol for encryption. Users retain control of their private keys and Bitcoin, ensuring self-custody. The app is available on both iOS and Android platforms.
The integration aims to streamline peer-to-peer transactions by unifying messaging and payments, targeting users who frequently transact with contacts they communicate with regularly.
