PricewaterhouseCoopers cancels annual Orlando event for interns receiving full-time offers, replacing it with local office gatherings.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has canceled its annual Impact event, a Walt Disney World trip for interns who secured full-time roles, after 15 years. The event included accommodation, meals, and networking with firm leaders for roughly 2,400 interns annually since at least 2011.
The firm confirmed the change, stating it will redirect resources toward experiences offering more client and colleague interaction. Replacements include office-based events, such as team dinners, though PwC has not eliminated all large-scale intern programs.
PwC said the shift reflects a focus on investments deemed more valuable than resort trips, though no immediate market reaction was noted.
