Knight, the company’s largest shareholder, takes over as CEO on 1 July to align management with strategic expansion plans.

Pure Foods Tasmania has appointed Robert Knight as CEO and managing director, effective 1 July. Knight, the company’s largest shareholder, has served as a director since October 2024 and played a key role in recent acquisitions and retail expansion efforts.

The company, which has pursued growth through mergers and acquisitions, highlighted Knight’s contributions, including expanding its presence in Coles stores from 300 to 800 outlets and re-establishing Costco as a customer. He also led the acquisitions of Elato and Brilliant Food Australia, the latter purchased for A$300,000 in April.

Outgoing executive chairman Malcolm McAully will remain on the board as non-executive chairman, citing the transition as part of planned succession efforts following turnaround initiatives.
