Final assays from the Lion Zone drill program will support an upcoming NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate due by July end.
Power Metallic Mines Inc (TSX-V:PNPN) announced the completion of its Winter 2026 drill program at the Lion Zone of the Nisk polymetallic project in Quebec. The final assay results will underpin the initial NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate (MRE), expected by the end of July.
The infill drilling targeted the eastern side of the Lion Zone to refine the geological model, particularly for a potential open-pit mine. Highlights included drill hole PML-26-116, which intersected 36.42 meters grading 2.83% copper equivalent, with a 6-meter interval at 12.38% copper equivalent near surface.
The company plans to proceed with a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) immediately after releasing the MRE. Other notable results included intervals of 0.75% and 0.96% copper equivalent in additional drill holes.
