Bankrupt Sailormen Inc. finalizes sale of its remaining Popeyes outlets after a prior buyer failed to close the deal.

Bankrupt Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen franchisee Sailormen Inc. sold its 23 Orlando-area locations for $2.67 million to SBH Foods PLK LLC. The deal follows a failed attempt by RFI Ventures LLC to acquire the same stores for $2.5 million after missing a July 12 deadline.

Sailormen, which operated 136 locations at the time of its January 2026 bankruptcy filing, previously secured court approval to sell 97 restaurants, including 5 Savannah locations to SBH Foods PLK for $650,000. The company also sold 50 units to Pulse Restaurant Group LLC for $2.69 million.

The fried chicken sector saw a 3% industrywide traffic increase in 2025, but rising costs and financial distress forced Sailormen’s divestment of all its locations.
