63% of Americans surveyed say Trump family profits from crypto ventures conflict with presidential duties, per new data.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll reveals 63% of respondents believe President Donald Trump and his family’s $1.4 billion in cryptocurrency profits are inappropriate. The survey highlights concerns over potential conflicts of interest as Trump returns to office.
The poll also shows 69% of Americans, including two-thirds of independents and 90% of Democrats, think Trump’s private business interests influence his decisions. Even half of Republicans share this view, though 70% of GOP respondents still find the crypto dealings acceptable.
Lawmakers are debating the Clarity Act, which aims to restrict Trump’s crypto ventures ahead of a September vote. The White House denies any conflicts of interest.
