Oman’s state oil firm locks in a six-year deal with Egyptian contractors for projects valued at over $6bn.
Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has finalized a six-year engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) framework agreement with the Petrojet-ENPPI consortium. The deal covers a project portfolio exceeding $6bn, positioning the Egyptian firms among four international groups competing for future contracts in Oman’s oil and gas sector.
The framework allows Petrojet-ENPPI to bid for multiple projects over the agreement’s term, aligning with PDO’s strategy to engage global and regional contractors. The consortium, comprising state-owned Egyptian firms, brings decades of experience in onshore and offshore developments, refining, and petrochemicals.
The agreement includes commitments to support Oman’s in-country value targets, such as knowledge transfer and local supply chain development. The signing underscores growing collaboration between Omani and Egyptian energy sector players amid regional competition.
