Paramount seeks court order to force antitrust plaintiffs to post bond covering $1.3 billion in ticking fees and financing costs.
Paramount Skydance filed a motion requesting a federal judge require state attorneys general suing to block its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery to post a $1.88 billion bond. The company argues litigation delays impose unrecoverable costs, including $6.97 million daily ticking fees starting October 1.
The bond reflects potential costs through trial, including $1.3 billion in ticking fees and $190 million in financing expenses by June 2027. Paramount seeks dissolution of the deal hold if the bond is not posted by September 30, 2026.
Paramount cited the Clayton Antitrust Act, asserting plaintiffs must secure against financial harm caused by delaying the transaction.
