Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR) shares surged 16.1% in pre-market trading after the artificial intelligence and data analytics company reported record second-quarter 2026 results that comfortably surpassed Wall Street expectations.
The company generated revenue of $1.94 billion, up 93% from a year earlier and well above analyst forecasts of approximately $1.81 billion
Adjusted earnings came in at $0.41 per share, exceeding consensus estimates of roughly $0.34 to $0.35. Commercial and Government Businesses Deliver Exceptional Growth Palantir’s U.S. commercial business produced another standout performance, with revenue soaring 149% year over year to $764 million. Revenue from U.S. government contracts also remained robust, increasing 90% to $809 million.
The company also achieved a significant financial milestone, reporting net income of more than $1 billion for the first time in its history. Company Delivers Largest Guidance Increase to Date Management accompanied the earnings beat with what it described as the largest increase to annual guidance in the company’s history. Palantir now expects full-year 2026 revenue of between $8.15 billion and $8.16 billion, up from its previous forecast of $7.65 billion to $7.66 billion and comfortably ahead of analyst expectations.
