Marsh & McLennan joins Oakmark U.S. Concentrated Strategy’s portfolio as the fund avoids AI-driven stocks despite sector outperformance.
Oakmark U.S. Concentrated Strategy disclosed a new position in Marsh & McLennan (MRSH) at $192.19 per share, valuing the firm at $91.72 billion. The fund’s Q2 2026 return of 9.21% trailed the Russell 1000 Value Index’s 13.87% gain, as technology and industrials led broader market advances.
The strategy maintained its value focus, eschewing AI-driven stocks despite their strong performance. Marsh & McLennan, an insurance broker and professional services firm, posted an 11.65% one-month return but declined 4.17% over the past year.
U.S. equities rose in Q2, with nine of eleven GICS sectors gaining, while energy and utilities lagged. Oakmark’s disciplined approach prioritizes stocks trading below intrinsic value.
