The agreement includes large-scale data centers and targets 2 gigawatts of power capacity for AI infrastructure by 2027.
Nvidia announced a $500 billion AI memory supply deal with SK Hynix, South Korea’s second-largest company, on July 24. The agreement, part of a broader $950 billion AI pact signed in San Francisco, includes data centers expected to launch in 2027 and requires 2 gigawatts of power capacity.
The deal follows Nvidia’s global push to secure AI infrastructure partners, with agreements signed across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe in 2026. SK Hynix’s affiliate, SK Telecom, will build a cloud business using Nvidia’s Vera Rubin systems as part of the partnership.
The collaboration positions South Korea as a key player in AI development, with Nvidia aiming to deploy hundreds of thousands of graphics processing units for the buildout.
