Nvidia’s market capitalization reached $4.74 trillion after its stock closed at $195.55 on Monday. The company needs a share price of $206 to cross the $5 trillion threshold, requiring a 5.5% increase or $260 billion in added value.

Nvidia previously surpassed $5 trillion last October but fell below it shortly after. With 24.2 billion shares outstanding, the chipmaker’s valuation remains unmatched, though the gap is minimal. Most S&P 500 companies are worth less than $260 billion.

The stock has surged over 350% in three years due to AI-driven demand, often gaining more than $10 in a single session. A small rally could push it past $5 trillion, making the milestone appear imminent rather than distant.
