SpaceX announced a partnership with Nvidia to equip its Starmind AI satellites with Nvidia’s latest Rubin GPUs and Vera CPUs. The collaboration aims to deliver datacenter-class computing capabilities in space, enhancing AI processing for satellite operations.
The Starmind satellites mark an expansion of SpaceX’s AI infrastructure, following prior investments in edge computing. Nvidia’s chips are expected to improve real-time data analysis and reduce latency for space-based applications.
SpaceX shares rose nearly 3% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
