NVIDIA and Eli Lilly commit $1 billion to an AI-driven drug discovery lab, positioning both stocks as key public plays in programmable biology.
NVIDIA and Eli Lilly have launched a $1 billion AI co-innovation lab aimed at accelerating drug discovery. The five-year partnership will leverage NVIDIA’s BioNeMo platform to industrialize AI-driven biology research, based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The collaboration follows a broader trend of major investors, including Jeff Bezos and Brian Armstrong, backing longevity and programmable biology startups. While most ventures remain private, NVIDIA and Eli Lilly emerge as the primary public-market vehicles for exposure to this sector.
Bezos reportedly committed $3 billion to Altos Labs, while Armstrong’s NewLimit saw its valuation triple to $3.1 billion, underscoring growing investor interest in AI-driven biotech innovations.
