Nvidia’s investment in Lancium’s Stargate initiative values the firm at $10 billion and could expand with grid-related milestones.

Nvidia will invest up to $3 billion in Lancium, the infrastructure firm behind the Stargate AI data center project, with potential for an additional $1 billion tied to performance benchmarks. The deal values Lancium at approximately $10 billion, including its land and power assets.

Lancium plans to use the capital to scale operations and may pursue an IPO in 2027. The Stargate initiative, unveiled earlier this year, involves SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle, which have pledged up to $500 billion for AI infrastructure. Nvidia’s CEO has emphasized the profitability of AI investments amid rising demand for power and financing.

The flagship Lancium Clean Campus in Texas spans 1,000 acres and hosts the operational Stargate project. Neither company commented on the transaction.
