Nvidia reports a 72% net income margin for Q1 2026, while Planet Labs extends a government contract but remains unprofitable.

Nvidia posted a 72% net income margin for the quarter ended April 26, 2026, driven by strong demand for its advanced graphics and computational solutions. The company also began full production of its Vera Rubin hardware architecture amid regulatory scrutiny over export controls.

Planet Labs, meanwhile, secured an eight-figure government contract extension but reported a -148% net income margin for the quarter ended April 30, 2026. Despite incremental revenue gains, the company remains unprofitable as it expands its satellite-based geospatial data services.

Both companies saw quarterly revenue growth, though Nvidia’s scale far exceeds Planet Labs’, reflecting divergent market positions in AI and space-based economies.
