The deal aims to enhance Nscale’s cloud platform with Anyscale’s AI task management software, boosting customer offerings.
Nscale will acquire AI software startup Anyscale in a deal valued at approximately $1.65 billion. The acquisition is intended to integrate Anyscale’s technology for managing complex AI tasks across multiple computers, improving efficiency for Nscale’s clients.
Anyscale, based in San Francisco, reported 70% sequential revenue growth in its most recent quarter. The startup’s 200 employees will join Nscale, and Anyscale will continue operating under its own brand post-acquisition. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2024.
Nscale, a vertically integrated AI cloud provider, competes with firms like CoreWeave and Nebius Group. The acquisition is seen as a strategic move to expand its software capabilities and attract more customers.
