Novva Group has agreed to purchase a 37.8 MWac solar project portfolio in Colombia from German developer ABO Energy. The three advanced-stage projects, located in the Andean region, have secured grid connections and land leases, with operations expected by early 2028.

The acquisition aligns with Colombia’s push to diversify its energy mix and boost renewable capacity. Novva CEO Steven Liu highlighted the country’s demand for low-carbon power and the company’s role in accelerating the transition. ABO Energy’s general manager noted Novva’s financing strength as key to advancing the projects.

The deal reflects broader trends in emerging markets, where rising electricity demand and clean energy investments are driving infrastructure growth.
