Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global reports a $81.87 million holding in BitMine, marking its first indirect exposure to ETH via equity.
Norway’s sovereign wealth fund disclosed a $81.87 million stake in BitMine Immersion Technologies, equating to 6.15 million shares as of June 30. The position provides indirect exposure to ETH without direct cryptocurrency purchases.
The holding was absent from the fund’s year-end 2025 report, with no details on acquisition timing or price. BitMine’s latest filings show it holds 5.805 million ETH, including 5.067 million staked.
The disclosure highlights growing institutional interest in crypto-linked equities amid regulatory constraints on direct holdings.
