Nintendo sold 48.71 million Switch 2 software units in the fiscal year ended March 2026, alongside 19.86 million hardware units. Key titles included Mario Kart World with 14.70 million units and Pokémon Legends: Z-A with 3.94 million units, signaling robust demand for first-party games.

Digital sales surged 25.0% year over year to 407.6 billion yen, accounting for 54.6% of dedicated video game platform software sales. The company expects software sales to climb to 60.00 million units in the current fiscal year, despite planned hardware price increases due to rising costs.

Nintendo’s focus on software monetization strengthens its ecosystem, offsetting margin pressures from memory costs, tariffs, and currency fluctuations.
