Nintendo raises Switch 2 prices by up to $50 and slashes fiscal 2027 revenue outlook 11.4% below prior year amid chip costs and tariffs.
Nintendo increased the Switch 2 console price by $50 to $499.99 in the U.S., ¥10,000 to ¥59,980 in Japan, and €30 to €499.99 in Europe, citing rising memory chip costs and tariffs. The changes take effect in May and September across major markets.
The company projected fiscal 2027 revenue of 2.05 trillion yen, down 11.4% from the prior year and below analyst estimates of 2.46 trillion yen. Net profit is forecast to fall 27% to 310 billion yen, while operating profit guidance of ¥370 billion missed consensus by ¥110 billion. Nintendo expects a ¥100 billion impact from memory prices and U.S. tariffs.
