NextEra Energy to buy Dominion Energy in $400 billion deal
NextEra Energy is in advanced talks to acquire Dominion Energy in a mostly stock-based deal worth roughly $400 billion in equity.
The enterprise value of the deal is near $419 billion.
Dominion Energy serves around 3.6 million electric customers across Virginia and the Carolinas, and its acquisition would give NextEra access to a large concentration of hyperscale data centers.
