Gold miner Newmont reports Q2 adjusted earnings above forecasts but misses revenue expectations by $190M.
Newmont posted second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $2.10, exceeding estimates by $0.12. Revenue reached $6.12 billion, up 15% year-over-year but $190 million below projections.
Analysts had anticipated revenue closer to $6.31 billion for the quarter. The company’s year-over-year revenue growth reflects higher gold prices and production volumes.
Newmont also outlined plans to spend $1.95 billion in sustaining capital in 2026, targeting critical infrastructure investments, including tailings solutions.
