NZD/USD trades lower near 0.5820
New Zealand’s Consumer Price Index rose 1.5% QoQ in the second quarter, above the 1.4% market forecast.
The inflation figures could reinforce expectations that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will maintain a restrictive monetary-policy stance.
Investors will also monitor US Initial Jobless Claims, which are expected to rise modestly to 212K from 208K.
The pair remains under pressure near 0.5820, suggesting that broader US Dollar demand is currently outweighing domestic support for the Kiwi.
