The Nasdaq index staged a sharp rebound from session lows after testing a cluster of technical support levels, paring losses to 107 points, or 0.42%, at 25,988.48. Earlier, the index fell as much as 389.29 points before buyers stepped in, though it remained down from its session high of 26,026.17.
