Morgan Stanley has introduced a spot Solana ETF, MSOL, listed on NYSE Arca with a 0.14% annual fee. The fund holds actual SOL tokens, aiming to reflect the cryptocurrency’s performance as measured by the CoinDesk Solana Benchmark.

SOL has declined 41% year-to-date and 60% over the past year, despite a 136% gain over five years. The ETF charges $14 annually on a $10,000 investment, covering operating expenses excluding taxes and extraordinary costs.

The launch positions Solana as financial infrastructure for institutional investors, diverging from its meme-coin origins. Morgan Stanley’s entry expands its crypto ETF offerings beyond traditional assets.
