Mitsubishi Motors will re-enter the US pickup truck market through its partnership with Nissan, part of its Momentum 2030 growth plan. The move targets a segment where the automaker currently has no presence in the US, aiming to broaden its North American footprint alongside adventure-focused vehicles.

The strategy includes expanding Mitsubishi’s US lineup from four to six models by 2027, with a focus on electrification and modernized retail sales. The plan was detailed at a recent dealer meeting, emphasizing long-term brand growth and dealer opportunities.

No immediate market reaction was reported. Mitsubishi’s CEO called the initiative the most comprehensive growth plan ever undertaken in the region, prioritizing customer value and sustainable sales.
