MicroStrategy sold 2,732,318 shares for $263.5 million, increasing its cash reserve to $3.225 billion. The move mirrors last week’s strategy to bolster liquidity without buying or selling Bitcoin, keeping its holdings at 843,775 BTC as of July 19.
The company previously sold Bitcoin twice this year, offloading 32 BTC for $2.5 million in May and 3,588 BTC for $216 million in June and July. Its total Bitcoin investment stands at $63.69 billion, averaging $75,476 per coin, while current holdings are valued at $54.56 billion, reflecting a $9.13 billion unrealized loss.
MSTR shares traded at $96.20 in premarket hours, up from a $94.85 close on July 17. Bitcoin’s price held at $64,666 at press time.
